St. David’s Church is more or less in the centre of the village of Airmyn, East Riding of Yorkshire. Our lovely peaceful churchyard has been planted with flowers and shrubs to attract wildlife; many of the trees have bird boxes.
This is the only church in the Diocese of Sheffield which is dedicated to St. David. The original church was founded in 1318, but demolished in 1674. The Nave of the present church dates from 1676, and its Chancel from 1884.
The Parish of Airmyn is one-third of the Benefice of Airmyn, Hook and Rawcliffe. The Rev. Philip Ball became Vicar of this Benefice in January, 2011. His address is:- The Vicarage, 12 Church Lane, Hook, East Riding of Yorkshire.
